Projects: Industrial Crops

Olives

For the 750 hectares aimed at the Olive Project we have selected 16 varieties of the crop coming from Italy, Spain, France, Israel and Argentina. This wide range allows us to produce a high-quality olive oil, which, according to the standards of the International Olive Oil Council (IOOC), is suitable to perfectly meet the consumer's demands.

Our operations are characterized by the overall control of every process, from the spread of our own olive plantations, the wine harvest, up to the development, production, packaging and marketing of the final product for both regional and international markets.

Almond, Chestnut and Pecan Nut Trees

Since we are the only almond producer in Uruguay, the Almond Trees Project gives us a distinctive feature at an international level. For this project, we have selected the best varieties - Italian and Spanish as well as French - due to their soil and climate adaptation.

Both the Argentinean and Uruguayan markets are the primary consumers of our almonds, highlighting the fact that they are the main link in substituting the imports in our country.

We have selected and acquired the best varieties imported from the United States of America for the Pecan Project. On top of this, the chestnut trees plantation is conformed by excellent varieties brought over from New Zealand. This projects high grade of sophistication rests on the fact that our primary aim is the expansion of high quality range and added value products such as 'marrons glace'.

Vine

The wine Project of 200 hectares is focused on the production of high quality wines destined to outside markets. For that purpose, a specific kind of soil was chosen, to prioritize the quality of the crop rather than the quantity.

We will also focus on the production of balsamic vinegar for the internal market as well as for export, to complement our high quality olive production, thus making our industrial development even wider.
